Handband

This was also a very old endeavour.
Just added a button to the normal handband. Again for this you can innovate and mix and match. There are a lot of tutorials online bandit is like the very basic thing you learn in crochet.

Baby frock

This was a frock I had made long time back with Solomon's knot. Works out great on baby dresses. You can find a lot of videos online.

Crochet holder

Make your own crochet holder for housing pens, pencils, crochet hooks, etc.

Twisted wall hangings

I did not realise the importance of this design till I started making one once again to right this blog. I wanted to try out the design once before writing the pattern and somehow enjoyed doing it and ended up making bands out of it. They just look lovely and are so easy and fun to make. It is unimaginable.

Ok now the pattern..

It's simple .

Chain 5
On the 2nd chain from the end make 6 double crochet.
Chain 3
Turn
In the 2nd double crochet of the first fan make 6 double crochet again.
Repeat this as long as you want.

Just an amazing design for hand, leg , head bands , can also be a cute belt, a wall decor, an applique for a dress or a hat.

Hope you all enjoy it!!!

My first Etsy Shop !!!

Yippeeee... Finally done it.

My first Etsy shop is ready. I am selling my crochet lamps, which was the first product idea I got after a long time of crocheting. What I find beautiful about this product is its simplicity. The concept , the crochet and the electronics everything is very basic and simple. The idea kind of came out of the blue, but somewhere deep down me it felt like I always wanted to make this. :) Funny when such things happen...

So you all are welcome to my shop :

Ahh, granny square bursting with colours. Had been dreaming of making them and finally when I got down to do it, Just could not stop it.

The most beautiful thing about the granny square is that you have a legitimate mix of colours and stitches which makes it so interesting and fun.

I have used Minimum lights to  make them usable at night as well.

four fish in a frame

I got the fish design from Jenny and teddy website. Love the way she patiently explains in the video.

http://www.jennyandteddy.com/2012/07/fish-crochet/

I attached each fish to the previous one at the tail and made four of them.
Then made chain of 5 around each of the fishes to make a kinda frame and to add a little beauty made 3 dc, 2 chains , 3 dc in the chain 5 spaces.

Can be used as a wall hanging.

Christmas decor

A simple crochet Christmas decor.

Using a simple fairy light bought from a supermarket, single crochet all along the wire. Be careful near the bulbs where crocheting is a bit tough. After round 1 of sc, you can choose a stitch of your choice for 4 more rounds.

To house the battery holder, I used a stalking. You can get innovative an try other types of housing.

I hang it in the wall n light it up at night. It can be hung on doors or windows.

Hope you all liked this idea. Enjoy!!

Black beauty

Simple flower pattern with lights. Again can be used for home decoration.

Crochet graffiti, also called Yarn Bombing on the streets of Germany

All of a sudden one fine day people decorated a particular street with lovely crochet work. It was done by the old people living in homes.

It is interesting to read the wikipedia link about it. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Yarn_bombing
