DIY Crochet lamps or Tealight holders

A simple crochet lamp or tea light holder with a blinking led circuit. A cute little decor which you can make on your own. Let me know what you  all think about it!!!
It uses an LED circuit with different colors and blinks at various speeds creating a mesmerizing atmosphere.

It is actually my relaxation mantra. I switch it on and stare at the bare white cup with red lips and get engrossed in the changing colors. It gives an extremely soothing feeling and opens up your mind to new and fresh ideas.

It can be used for meditation, yoga. The lights are in shades of white, yellow, red, blue, green. Was thinking that it could turn out to be a good valentine's gift as well!!! :)

Crochet square spider motif

A simple crochet motif in the shape of a spider.

This a very interesting crochet motif with the spider effect to it. Just loved the whole design.

Crochet cluster doily/motif

Dotted with picot stitches all around this crochet doily is built with pretty cluster stitches.
It is a simple doily which can also be used as a potholder or can be used as a motif.

Joining crochet flower motifs

Joining crochet motifs is simple.
Decide how you want the pattern to look firstly. Then decide the points of joint.

In this case the joints were at the centre of the petals. Doing this was easy. You should have a base motif on top of which you build the rest of the motifs. So in this case the white flower was my base motif. At the centre of the orange flower's last 2 petals, I made the joint into the white petals. Similarly keeping the orange flower as base motif, I joined the green petals into the orange one.

crochet led purse

Fun, fun, fun. This was a fun project. A tiny wedding gift purse lit with an led. Looked so pretty and was so simple to make.

I just could not stop myself from taking photographs. So went on and on and on...

I made the flower separately, and attached it to the purse later..wish I could make more of this in different colours.

Crochet flower Doily with pink, blue and white

The border of this doily is what interests me. A simple effect changes the look of the piece.

Edging patterns with treble stitches

The first pattern is with treble stitches. Gives a partial filling effect. Can be used as edging for various projects. The  Ross stitch between the treble stitches enhances the look of the pattern.

This one is a very simple pattern similar to the previous pattern but does not have the cross stitches. By changing the colours, the pattern can be given different looks. This could also be used for making shawls, cowls, etc.

Plain doily

Crochet Hexagonal Cluster motif

The simplest motif !!!!

Magic ring
Chain 3(this is the first chain of the cluster stitch) and complete the cluster stitch , (chain 3 , cluster stitch)5 times.
Chain 3 and complete the cluster stitch in the first chain 3 space of the previous round, chain 2, cluster stitch again into the same space. (Chain 3, cluster stitch, chain 2 , cluster stitch) repeat 5 times. Close with a chain 3 stitch.

Crochet square shaped doily

Crochet flower lotus shaped

Cluster crochet motif

At midnight I was suddenly struck with this design. Cluster stitches had taken over me, hence I made some attempts to make some of my own patterns.
It is a pretty simple design with just change of colours.

The best thing about your own pattern is that, they are unique. I get into this strange kind of a mood, where my hands just start crocheting free style. It is more a self explanatory thing but once you find your rhythm, your own ideas and designs develop.

Funky CrochetMandala

Making alternate star and treble stitches, this mandala has a funky look to it. I was a bit weary about the outcome but as I got the layers done, it came out pretty well. This mandala was really a pleasure to make.

Crochet doily with frills

Loved the pattern and enjoyed making each and every bit of it. The frills are the highlight of this pattern.
It taught me how to add beauty to a simple pattern. Chain 3 and sc into the subsequent stitch. Repeat this all around and you get the frills which enhances the pattern instantaneously.

Happy crocheting!!!
